Wow its been one year =)
I was just looking at my old entries and realize I had a depressing post about a year ago. Its been a year and yes again its my birthday =) And as I look back so much to be thankful for.
Today was an awesome day, not only was the sun shining brightly, but also had time to think reflect and spend with people who i really care about.
Last night treated mom, tam and jamie to dinner. Decided to treat my mom cause she was the one who went through all the pain 26 years ago! She has been such an example to me of what a woman after God's heart is. Also in talking to jamie and tammy realizing my sisters are growing up =)
Got up early this morning and got a hair cut. Friends got me a certificate to get a hair cut at Fiorio , place was so nice. The hairstylist was so excited cos she was highlighting hair that hasn't been highlighted before. She could sense my uncertainty as I peered up from my book into the mirror as the foils increased on my head. Both of us had lots of laughs though.
Then spent time walking around Yorkville and Bloor street. For some reason the shops have lost their allure, and I ended up sitting and reading in Chapters. Also got some solid time of thinking and reflection. Been realizing lately that as much i love spending time with people, I need Amy time to sit and digest. Hopefully later on I'll be sharing more of my rambles.
Then went with classmates to Chez Cora. It was my favorite restaurant when we went to Montreal and I especially like their logo of the smiling sunshine. I think that totally represented my mood today. Talks with Jenny and Sara, solid girl time. I am going to miss them so when they are in New York City. Ever more motivation for me to blog. A combo of crazy call schedules and NYC night life isn't going to leave much time for phone or even MSN.
I came home to chill with Tammy. With a bubble tea in hand and walking down Yonge St, it was awesome to share with my baby sister thoughts about ministry and life. Then chilled with TCBC + friends over steak and chocolate. Our laughter caused quite a ruckus in Maxims =p. This group has been partners in ministry but also life especially in this past year. Really pray that we'll learn to truly be a light in our respective communities...
And all the messages and emails, wow... its like people remember little ol me =) I know I'm so blessed to have been impacted by so many amazing people. Know God's placed each of them in my life.
With a satisfied stomach but also mind, time to sleep =)
