More Ramblings - CCF

On Friday night, I was on my way to Hart House to sweat off some of the stress that accumulated through the day. I happened to pass by the UTCCF (Chinese Christian Fellowship) elections. As I sat in the back, though the faces were different, the vision that they were sharing was similar to the ones I had been a part of developing.

CCF, wasn't a place, but rather the people, who really challenged me to consider my faith and not be complacent. They taught me more by example than anything else, as many brothers and sisters desired to seek God and hence be transformed. CCF was a significant part of my undergraduate life. And it wasn't only the Friday fellowship time, but also the times when we encouraged each other, challenged each other and prayed for each other that really have played a part in shaping who I am today.

As I return back from my memories to CCF on Friday, I am encouraged by the passion and fervor of the fellowship. And though they might not know I see how prayers from my generation have been answered in this.
I still remember meeting in New College with Loretta and Donna, as they fervently prayed for those in their residence. On Friday, several candidates shared about cell groups that met in residences with New College being one the most vibrant.

Where are the people in my CCF generation? Three weeks ago, UTCCF invited alumni, including myself to share with the fellowship about faith in the workplace. There were many faces I had not seen for quite a while, but it was inspiring to hear their lives in their respective professions. We ranged from healthcare, to engineering, business... I am not sure what those listening to us were thinking, but I sure learnt from my peers. One phrase that stuck to me though, I wake up every morning, and despite difficulties, thank God for where He has put me. Hope I can wake up that attitude every day of my life =)
